We Adore Flowers

“We put the thought of all that we love into all that we make,” this is the essence of my inspiration with floral design.

This quotation by Tolkein resonates with my heart.  I love flowers, trees, movement and the wind.

In terms of floral design, I am very much influenced by an abundant, natural style. Does the arrangement feel as though it is growing? Is there space between the stems for butterflies to float through? Does the arrangement look as though it would dance in the breeze? Is there depth, texture, movement and freedom?

In terms of floral design, I am very much influenced by an abundant, natural style. Does the arrangement feel as though it is growing? From Field to Vase

Wherever possible I work directly with flower farmers to source the highest quality grown product. I value environmentally responsible growing methods and support small businesses (from field to vase). For wildflowers I’m an advocate for responsible foraging practices; asking permission from land owners, harvesting only what we need, and cutting florals and grasses, or pruning trees in a gentle way that does not harm the root stock. We aim to work with nature, not against her.

The floral industry is a special one, the men and women who work in it tend to have the most incredible generous hearts, and share the gift of their love of flowers freely with the world.  In additional to being a part of a special network of fellow florists who continuously strive to raise the bar in terms of technique, floral care practices and service delivery; we have been blessed to have been able to grow good working relationships with both growers and wholesale suppliers, locally and internationally, in order to source best quality product and unique florals for clients.

We strive for quality product, excellent floral care and transport practices, best management of floral lifespan, environmentally responsible practices, and of course beautifully created floral design.
