Brent and Beth are South Africans living and working in Mozambique. They decided to come home to get married and celebrated one of the most chilled, relaxed, happy weddings I’ve been involved in at Freedom Cafe. They held their ceremony in the park alongside Freedom Cafe. We hung giant paper pom poms from a big tree above their ceremony space, surrounded guest seating with bold, happy arrangements in copper pots on tree trunks and guests were given capulanas (gorgeous, boldly printed fabric available from Mozambican markets) to sit on picnic style. Chilled, fun and happy! Post ceremony, trays of amazing food and superb cocktails were served by the Freedom team, and everyone spent a long, lazy afternoon chatting to good friends and family, and dancing the evening in.
I adore this couple and I loved their easy-going, relaxed, personalized and fuss free wedding. It was a day that truly reflected their personal story and personalities. Beth’s pre-wedding brief to me was that she wanted flowers that were BRIGHT, a bouquet that was BIG and colours that were HAPPY, and that she completely trusted me to make it happen. What and incredible bride! All my love to you both Brent and Beth. I wish you a lifetime of adventure, joy and love together.
A very big thank you to Lucy and her brilliant Freedom cafe team for being so easy going and lovely to deal with. Nothing was too much of a fuss for you guys, it was a pleasure!
