Margaux and Chiliboy are two of the loveliest people you could ever hope to meet or create for. They met in Margaux’s home town of Toulouse while Chiliboy was playing rugby for the Toulouse team. Margaux followed him back to South Africa, where they have built their lives together.
Their fairy tale romance was beautifully reflected in their elegant, classy, Great Gatsby inspired, black tie wedding. As an ode to Margaux’s French roots, we celebrated the cherry blossom in their ceremony space. There would have been drifts of cherry blossom throughout her home town the month she married Chiliboy, so we brought a touch of her old home into the space to honour her roots as they began the next chapter of their love story in South Africa.
We kept all guest table florals in the venue elevated, and combined a styling choice of candle light, crystal glass and mirror table tops to tie together and reflect both the florals above and candle light below. I loved the warm, elegant, sophisticated finish of their table designs once all the elements came together. Margaux has inherited an unlimited supply of the famous French class and great taste, and working with her on her vision was an utter delight. She owns an elegant women’s wear label, based in Durban called Chic & Mignon. Do yourself a favour and go check it out!
Chiliboy and Margaux, thank you so much for choosing us to be a part of your special day, and for trusting us with the process. It truly has been a privilege to get to know each of you, and it has been a honour to create in celebration of your marriage. We wish you a lifetime of love, blessings, adventure, laughter and joy.
