Jared & Maritsa at Midlands Forest Lodge

Jared and Maritsa were married at Midlands Forest Lodge on a misty, icy cold Midlands day in September. Kloke and Mrs Kloke are good friends of ours, and it was both an honour and privilege to be a part of their very special day. We had great plans to set up their ceremony space on the lawn outside with hay bales for friends and family to sit on so we could all enjoy the spectacular view of the berg that this pretty little venue offers, but the weather had other plans, so in typical unfazed Jared and Maritsa style, they simply moved the ceremony into the reception venue and had a sensational day anyway!

This was a hands on friends and family wedding, with everyone getting involved with the set up and decor. Close family friends made the beautiful bunting and table runners, flowers by Adore Weddings, assisted by many willing hands, food by friends and family, hair and make up by Maritsa’s lovely cousin, and photography by close friend and wildlife photographer Chris Hall.

I love how much fun this couple had both with their wedding planning and on the day, and how much love they have for their family, their friends and one another. This wedding is one for the record books, when we left the festivities at 5.30 am the next morning, the party was still going strong!

Enjoy this special little wedding friends, and have a beautiful day x
