Raising Hope Gala Dinner

“If you have a talent, use it in every which way possible. Don’t hoard it. Don’t dole it out like a miser. Spend it lavishly like a millionaire intent on going broke. ” – Brendan Francis.

Blessing an incredible cause with the work of our hands, and being blessed in the process. Raising hope, awareness and funds for children with special needs.

Durban City Hall in all her resplendent finery for the Khanyisa Center’s Raising Hope Gala Dinner a few months ago. It’s a special privilege to get to be a part of raising awareness, raising funding so that quality education and support can continue to be given to special young people, and raising hope, changing lives. The Khanyisa Centre team have big vision and are pursuing it whole heartedly. They are intent on changing the lives of special needs children, on equipping them to be active participants in the “real” world, and on enriching the lives of their families too. It was an honor to conceptualize, design, create and lend our hands and hearts to this incredible function. We were inspired by both the heart of this special organization, and the grandeur of the event space, and created BIG, wildly foraged, intentionally designed floral magic for the Gala Dinner.

A sincere, heart felt thank you to our team (Mama P, Granny Lou and Ca) for pouring the blessings of the work of your hands into this event. A huge thank you to House of Hudson for so generously coming on board with your incredible furniture. Thank you By Jacki for your linen and cutlery. And last but not least, thank you Durban City Hall for your amazing space.

Amy and Debs you can both be so proud of this incredible evening and the generation shaping work you and your teams are doing with these special kids. I cannot thank you enough for having us on board to create with and for you all. Love and blessings to all of you x
